Red Earth Farm: Zebulon, Georgia
We had the opportunity to spend a few days with farmers in rural Georgia, shadowing all of their daily activities. With beautiful and delicious produce and hardworking people, Red Earth Farm provided us with an endless supply of inspiration for these photographs.
The Concept
Working with the team at Red Earth Farm, we aimed to show not only the produce they so proudly brought to market, but to capture the work and the process that went into their harvest. From early mornings to long days in the fields, the farmers at Red Earth Farm shared with us their passion and dedication.
The Execution
Over the course of three visits, we spent full days alongside the Red Earth team not only taking photographs, but taking video and recording audio interviews. We gained insight into what it takes to become a certified organic farm and how everyone came to be in Zebulon, Georgia. From father to son to grandson, we heard and saw firsthand their favorite parts of farming and were able to capture the satisfaction that bringing their produce to market brought them. With DSLR cameras and a Zoom H4n Pro audio recorder, we worked hand-in-hand with our client to create and record a day in their life. We’re thankful for the opportunity to do just that.
The Result
The final product left Red Earth Farm with a near endless catalog of imagery to be used on their website, in social media and printed materials, and at their farmers market stalls. The relationship we established was a lasting one that we’re proud of to this day. We hope you feel as strongly about the imagery we captured as we do.
